Here are a few tips on nice things you can do in Norway and still enjoy great mobile coverage, so that you can share the experience with friends and family!

Road trip!

The Atlantic Ocean Road (pictured) is a spectacular stretch of road on the west coast, north of Molde. It is regularly recommended in travel guides throughout the world. Here you will witness Norwegian coastal nature at its purest and experience an unforgettable road trip. Snap away and film with your mobile, post on social media or send it to friends and family.

There are many great places to stop along the way. But watch out for the sea spray! On days with rough weather, the waves can blow onto the road. Other great drives include Trollstigen (“Trolls' Path”), the Helgeland coast, Lom and Åndalsnes, Lofoten, Villmarksveien (“Wilderness Road”) in Østfold and Southern Norway along the coast. In fact, it is beautiful everywhere…

Nature experiences

Norway has many spectacular nature experiences to offer, such as Trolltunga (“Troll Tongue”), Vøringsfossen Waterfall and Kjerag. Preikestolen (“Pulpit Rock”) (pictured) is a mountain plateau near Lysefjord, inland from Stavanger. It is among Norway’s most famous tourist attractions and both CNN and Lonely Planet consider it to be one of the world’s greatest nature experiences.
You will have to prepare yourself for a 2-3 hour uphill hike before reaching the top. If you want to experience more places in Norway by car, you can easily find your way with great coverage and GPS on your mobile phone.

The fjords

The Geirangerfjord (pictured) is a picturesque fjord arm inland from Aalesund. From the green and lush banks of the fjord, you can see snowy peaks and steep mountains in the middle of the summer.
The unique nature and the emerald-green water makes Geiranger a popular travel destination for those arriving by cruise ship or car. Norwegian nature at its best. Other beautiful fjords you should visit include Lysefjord, Aurlandsfjord, Hardangerfjord and Trollfjord in Northern Norge.

Fishing!

Norway is a paradise for those who love to fish. Whether you prefer standing on the rocks and fishing in the ocean or hiking in the mountains or forest, there are great fishing opportunities everywhere. It is free to fish in the ocean, but fishing in freshwater often requires that you purchase a fishing license, which you can, among other places, do here: https://www.inatur.no/om/fiskekort.
Fishing photos are popular, so use the camera on your mobile phone and share with others.

Outdoor activities

Norwegians love being outdoors whenever the opportunity presents itself – summer or winter. A trip to the beach is popular, although the water may be cold. On the warmest summer days, most will dare to take a dip. Norway has many beautiful beaches and coastal rock slopes. Barbequing, bathing, playing, relaxing and enjoying time with friends and family – there is nothing better than that. Even in a major city like Oslo there are great places to swim nearby, such as Sørenga, Huk, Hvervenbukta, Katten and all the lovely islands you can reach by ferry from Aker Brygge. Find some great tips here.

Northern Norway

Indeed, we are devoting a separate paragraph to this region. If you have the chance, you simply must visit Northern Norway!

Here you will find a lot of the purest nature, the best fishing options, the most beautiful coastal landscapes and the most unique towns. There are many we can mention: The fishing villages in Lofoten, the Træna archipelago, the mountain and coastal areas by Brønnøysund, the breathtaking Andøya, the mountain plateaus in Finnmark, and not least Nordkapp – the country's northernmost point.
Here you can frolic in spectacular, picturesque landscapes, and take in all the impressions. And if you check out our coverage map, you will see that MyCall also has great coverage in the Northern parts of the country!
